About Us

Discover a world of exploration at Sai's Seedlings Infant Center, where we offer comprehensive and personalized learning experiences!

Our Mission

At Sai’s Seedlings Infant Center, we are passionate about building strong, meaningful connections with each child and supporting them as they grow during these important early years. We provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years old, where they are encouraged to explore, play and develop at their own pace.

Through daily interactions and intentional care, infants have the opportunity to form trusting relationships not only with their teachers but also with their peers. These early social connections help foster a sense of belonging, confidence and emotional security within the classroom community.

Our program is designed to support each child’s individual developmental journey. As children grow, they are gently guided in reaching important milestones such as rolling, crawling, walking, communicating and building independence. We take pride in partnering with families to celebrate each child’s progress and are honored to be a part of these foundational moments in their growth and development.

Our Facility

Our Infant Center is licensed to serve up to 45 children and is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment where infants can learn, explore and grow together. Our classrooms feature open, inviting spaces that support freedom of movement, allowing children to safely explore their surroundings at their own pace as they develop important motor and social skills.

We also offer a dedicated soft, quiet room designed specifically for our youngest learners. This cozy space provides a calm environment where babies can comfortably crawl, practice pulling up and take their first steps while building confidence in their developing abilities.

For the convenience of our families, we are located just off Highway 101 and within close proximity to Sonoma State University, making drop-off and pick-up easy for those commuting to and from work or school.

Our Philosophy

Academically, we use the guidelines set by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC, naeyc.org ). We use the CA Department of Education’s curriculum framework, The California Preschool Learning Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks. Promoting the use of Developmentally Appropriate Practices, which can be applied to a variety of teaching tools (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, project-based, play-based, cooperative and spiritual-based).

Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) is an approach to teaching grounded in the research on how young children develop and learn and in what is known about effective early education. Its framework is designed to promote young children’s optimal learning and development. DAP involves teachers meeting young children where they are, both as individuals and as part of a group and helping each child meet challenging and achievable learning goals. It is also the foundation for all of NAEYC's work including—publications, training programs, conferences, accreditation of child care programs, and more.

Snack Program

We are committed to supporting healthy growth and development through fresh, nourishing foods. We provide a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables daily, carefully selected to introduce children to wholesome, natural flavors from an early age. Our team thoughtfully prepares fresh fruits and vegetables on site, ensuring that infants receive meals that are both nutritious and developmentally appropriate.

We offer nutritious snacks tailored to each age group. All food options are prepared with consideration for infants’ evolving dietary needs, textures and readiness, helping to foster positive eating habits and a strong foundation for lifelong healthy choices.
